On that note, no one should ever watch Dual.  It's hideous.  I refuse to watch any show wherein the robots have high heels :I

I've not seen that in about 10 years, but i remember it being really good.

Really?  I saw the entire thing in middle school/early high school, when I was actually in the age demographic, and hated it even back then...

Admittedly I can't actually remember anything about it, I'll have to rewatch it. :P

What's shounen age grouping?

13-18 or something?  Whatever.  I guess I fit into that one perfectly.

Something like that.  I'm 20 and still love shounen, though >_<  I pretty much only like reading shounen and weird stuff that doesn't particularly fit in any demographic, like Kino and Mushishi.

Gah need more manga-reading time ~

Finally got around to starting Blood+, seems interesting so far.
That was one of my first animes.
The premise is rather different.

Also, Haji is king.
I started watching Darker then Black. I like it, though the AMV I saw it in made it seem cooler. 8/
DTB is a show that gets it right, unlike many others.
Stuff just keeps getting more and more awesome the further on you get.

Spoiler: Spoil-y stuff! (click to show/hide)

I've been a fan of shounen comic/anime since I was about 8, and now 23 I'm still loving it. Huge fan of Naruto right now.

Out of the big 3 shounen series (Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece) it looks like One Piece is the only one not hated by everyone.

I used to watch bleach, and was really into it. Then they started throwing out filler arcs and i completely lost interest.

My ranking goes...

One Piece
Bleach
Naruto

Although, I've never seen Naruto EVER (yet) so I can't really judge it besides what people say (which I can't consider either because people will hate it just cause someone popular or a majority hates it).

The only interaction ive had with naruto has been the 360 games, which were actually kinda fun. But since they seem to follow the plot of the anime, I doubt I'll ever bother to watch it. Though from what I've heard the filler arcs come thick and fast in that too.

I think thats the problem with most of the bigger shounen anime, the filler. Aside from genereally being pretty crappy, it tends to have a knock-on effect for the rest of the series, with each filler degrading the quality of the plots that follow because they have to work in whatever happened in the filler, or ignore it completely.

I like Bleach, and Naruto wouldn't be so bad if Naruto's voice wasn't so annoying.
Never watched One Piece though.

I hate Bleach.

I love Naruto.

I started to watch One Piece and read the magna, then it seem like it was going to go on forever, and I didn't want to invest in a series like that at this time. Though now, it may seem like it may in deed end. If it does, I'll be watching it.

My best mate can't stand Naruto or Bleach.

Also, The Count of Monte Cristo anime I've been meaning to watch is on Hulu.com right now. Awesome.

I guess that was supposed to be "Without contrast of the wretched, how can you tell the pearls from the swine?"
I think what he means is it's good to watch crappy stuff now and then, so you don't get too jaded from the good stuff. If so, I guess I kind of agree a little, but I think there are so many dumb shows that there isn't much danger of this happening.

Also, The Count of Monte Cristo anime I've been meaning to watch is on Hulu.com right now. Awesome.

Hmm, Count of Monte Cristo... I seem to remember some robots in it that had some pretty high heels... But maybe they're more like high-heeled boots... Does this count?

Anyway, despite the questionable fashion sense of the robot/armor things, I liked the Count of Monte Cristo pretty well. I'd like to read the book at some point to compare the two, or three if I ever see the movie.
