I'll look into it as soon as I'm done with Ergo Proxy.

The way it adresses common cyberpunk issues (What is a soul and can artificial beings posess one? Is it right to enslave mankind to ensure its survival? And can such an existence still be called life? And many, many more...) is quite interesting.
The bookstore scene in episode 11 was brilliant.
So the "smart way" in which it presenst itself sometimes, doesn't seem contrived to me.

Now my friend has me watching Umineko no Naku Koro ni.

I've never seen an anime kill six main characters in the first episode. Umineko earns a freakin' medal.
EDIT:Oh, and that quick face emotion switch by Maria somewhere in the first chapter made me laugh SO freakin' hard. No joke, it is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Completely serious.

Nope.


In fact, Aizen and Byakuya are the only characters that ever use Kidou even remotely effectively. And only Aizen uses it as a weapon in and of itself, rather than a way to support his sword techniques.

Started watching Durarara!! Two episode in. A little disappointed, Baccano! having been so awesome, but I haven't written it off yet and it seems to be gearing up already. Does anybody know? Does it get more awesome?
