That's CLAMP's style.

Didn't used to be.  Ahh, how I miss the days of Clover and Chobits, when the characters may have been impossibly skinny and so on, but at least they didn't look like they'd collapse in a pile of goo.

*Leafsnail googles several series, but finds they all look pretty similar in terms of slimness through his untrained eyes, with the exception of puni plush style ones*

Eh, mainly the necks, still.

Also, the real Area 11 isn't very exciting.

I began watching GunXSword today. I'm on episode 6 and I'm fed up. I don't know if I can finish this episode. It was just fine up until now, but they've got what seems to be the mandatory fucking annoying Bonnie and Clyde impersonator dumbasses that you want to strangle and brutally stab to death multiple times.

Yup. I do like anime

Satoshi Kon is a skilled director--almost all of the movies he's made so far involves dreams and a twist on reality. Paprika just blew my mind, and I haven't even seen the other movies except for Tokyo Godfathers.

Oh and Code Geass' Lelouch bears a eerie resemblance to Light from Death Note in that evil little smile. Just fyi

Oh, you thought I meant "thinness" when I said "noodle people."  I meant that their new art style makes characters seem like they have flexible bones, rather than an actual skeleton.

That's what's been driving me crazy about Tsubasa, XXXholic, Code Geass, and so on.  Boneless people are a problem.

Ooooh, right.  That makes sense.  Seems to happen most often with dramatic arm gestures, as far as I can tell.

Hmm, I've just been trying to work out whether there's actually any difference between what the 11s and what the Brittanians look like.  I mean, they seem to notice in the show...

I guess it is mainly in clothing. Brits are dressed fancy, 11 shoddy.

Am I right in thinking Kallen is just a mispronunciation of the English name "Karen"?

I think Kallen is official, but in japanese R and L are pronounced the same.

What was that whole thing with Nina and Euphemia about?

Was that shot in the dark really what i think it was?

I know that.  It's just strange to use double l when it's a western name.
