I dislike how there is no "good guy". Just one is more evil then the other.

I dislike how there is no "good guy". Just one is more evil then the other.

In my opinion the characters all spread throughout the various D&D alignments.
I would say Suzaku would be your typical good guy.

Both Sukaku and Lelouch are good, in the sense that their goals are good. However their actions do not help them. I say they are both neutral, Suzaku is lawful, and Lelouch leans toward chaotic. They are both deep, morally gray characters. One of the many thinkgs I love about CG.

Basically this:
I dislike how there is no "good guy". Just one is more evil then the other.

Most of them are the good guys, at least in there own mind.

My first memory of Code Geass.

(group of soldiers finds Lelouch) Lelouch: Kill yourselves, *bang*, 20 people die, *Lelouch grins*

The guys were about to kill him because he was a witness to a highly illegal act.

It shows what kind of hero he is. I liked because it meant that he wouldn't be some "thou shall not kill" wimp. Lelouch is not afraid to get his hands dirty to make a peaceful world.

The guys were about to kill him because he was a witness to a highly illegal act.

He still has a psychotic grin.

Probably should have said this in my earlier post. He does stand and look shocked at what happened. I think the grin was from the realization that he can jumpstart his "Crush the evil Empire and build a gentle world for my sister" plans.

They knew it was a girl. They did not know what she was capable of. And as far as Lelouch knew, they just killed his best friend, and did not care that the girl they were supposed to bring back alive was killed by them, and were about to kill him. And he had a brief moment of "What the hell did I just do?" suggesting that his ordering of them killing themselves was somewhat instinctive.

Eh, I like moral ambiguity.  Makes things more interesting.

I think I'll watch Code Geass, it's been recommended to me enough times.

The leads, Lelouch Lemperouge and Suzaku Kururugi, are both complex and morally gray characters. Their base motivations are good, but their actions are morally gray are at times just evil.

I can't be bothered to look it up right now, but if that isn't the same band that did the Rozen Maiden tracks doing the ED, I'd be very surprised.

EDIT: It's hilarious how often I get ED and OP the wrong way round.

Yup, ED is short for EnDing, OP is short for OPening.
