Just finished watching Perfect Blue.

Wow, this one can take on 'real movies'.
Most surreal and thrilling anime I ever seen.

I'm not really into mecha.
It would to have at least the quality of Code Geass, before I even consider to look into it.

On the subject of Anime. I can not stress enough how amazing both Moyashimon and Baccano! are.

Warning: Moyashimon contains scenes of drowning in illegal bootleg booze, a gender identity crisis, Lolita maids, Female Scientists who wear lab coats over leather jackets and combat boots, and Pheromone potions going amiss and causing surprise lesbian sex. Do not watch if you have a weak heart.

I consider it 7.68 times better then code geass  8)

The mecha genre has the least impact on a story. Anything that has a main character that uses fictional machines will have mecha on it.

Well it could be hard to beat the dense atomsphere, strategic mindgames, great characters, awesome animations and interesting plot Code Geass has to offer.

But I will take a look, since you seem to be very convinced ;)

It kicks reason to the curb.

I just finniched all 25 episodes of Code Geass Leloch of the Rebellion. On to R2!

Also, SUPER ELECTRO MAGNETIC SHRAPNEL CANNON!

*EDIT*
It appears that this new season is going to be filled with more awesome special meccas.

I like this change.
