Hot damn nostalgia!

Anyone follow the manga here?

Mind spoiling me a bit as to what the hell do these new random guys want from our beloved Ichigo?

Is it alright to ask for suggestions here? If so...

Well I've been reading a lot of darker stuff lately. And a friend of mine who likes to read stuff with me thinks with some extra stress I've been getting I should find something kinda light and fluffy and cute to read. So... I doubt it but does anyone know anything like this? I'm not so well educated in the more light things since well... It's not TRADITIONALLY a big interest of mine.

I liked Kamichama Karin.  I don't know that you'll be fond of it, but it's pretty light and cute.

There are classics like Aqua/Aria, or more recent stuff like Hyakko, Sketchbook, K-ON and my beloved Hidamari Sketch/Sunshine Sketch. I'm sure most Precure series have gotten manga adaptations, although I doubt they're scanlated. I could recommend a shitload more if we're talking anime. I don't tend to read manga.

Ah. I mostly prefer manga since it lets me take my time more and I don't need to worry about missing something just because someone was talking to me. Ill take a look at some of those and see which interest me. I definitely am gonna need some moe cuteness in my life to take the edge off my stress so I can go finally start working.

So in my "language of media arts" class recently, the subject of anime was brought up.  The professor reiterated and stressed that students should definitely NOT pursue a career in anime production.  I decided to look this up and see if there's a lot of the subject... I found a decent link that also links other articles.  I decided to post it here, being the anime thread and all.  But I don't want to give the impression that I don't like anime or something.  I think it's a great art form that has its issues (EVERY art form has problems), but I also think it's important to know what goes on behind the scenes in a medium while appreciating it.  So uh, please don't kill me D:

Azumanga Daioh and Hanjuku Joshi both undepressed me, on numerous occasions, and are pretty much my favourites ever~

I don't know what to recommend, but you might want to read The World God Only Knows if you like some anime romance trope comedy.

TWGOK is pretty light so you won't see anything too dark or grim.  It's a light-hearted parody series after all.

So is Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, but I know I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for light stuff~

Also throwing Chi's Sweet Home out there~

I don't really consider Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei to be really heavy... at all.

It almost makes fun of serious situations.

Though I guess your right.

As for "Light" series... I wonder if Yakkate Japan counts.

It is REAL iffy for me due to exactly one scene (Don't check spoiler if you plan on watching this bread making anime)

It's heavy, just without being grim or dark, like most heavy stuff~
More just moderately heavy, but yeah, it does go over the top narmy in places~

K-On is pretty cutesy. When it's not cutesy, it's actually pretty cool, and then it goes back to being cute.

So I just finished reading Neon Genesis Evangelion - Gakuen Datenroku. I fully expected it to be like some horrible high-school AU fic in manga form.
The high-school involved is right about the same amount of high school that NGE is about (which means that it's there, there are scenes there, but it doesn't Impact anything), and the story is actually interesting. There's a lot less content than NGE, but the parallels are very nice (especially the one that ties in EVERYTHING. I mean EVERYTHING), and several character designs for the baddies are pretty cool. If you're a fan of NGE, I'd recommend it if you've not got much else to read, especially since it's pretty short.

Now I'm on to reading Girlfriend of Steel 2 (Which makes me wonder why Kirishima isn't already in here, and also why there's no Girlfriend of Steel 1).
