Actually here is this weeks game (I am starting to wonder if people hate these games I do >_>)

Animes or Mangas where for one (or at least very few) episode / chapter the gore or sexual situations reach a whole new level.

This isn't just a shift this is a whole new and sudden level that could on its very own increase its rating.

As I said earlier I submit Marchen Awakens Romance where:

It was... kinda "What the heck?"

I'll definitely get some Fate/Zero time in tomorrow.  I wish I could play Ever17 at some point but I just don't have the time.  I also added yet another disclosed-name-for-now VN to my hard drive, daaaaaaaamn.

I need Unlimited Time Works.

Not everything is sexualised though. K-On manages without frequent panty shots, lots of cleavage, bikini scenes (fine there was one...) and innuendo.
K-ON! has gear porn.

I'm drawing a lot of parallels to Fullmetal Alchemist.  The art style, the time it started, monthly releases, EUROPEAN UNDERTONES, the episodic first dozen chapters.  I hope it gets better.

That statement is pretty damn accurate. Keep at it...think of the children!

The ToAru Majutsu No Index anime indeed contains way too much talking...unfortunately, most of the time it is really needed though. It still gets interesting enough and some fights are nice.

Especially when Accelerator feels like it...he's prone to ripping people apart with his bare hands, throwing trains, reflecting anti-tank sniper rifle rounds, using a building as a projectile, etc.

For the most part it seems like animes either take place in Japan, Europe, or some sort of combination between them.

I have yet to see an anime take place in Canada or America... though judging by
1) The gun maniac in Ghost in a Shell from Canada
and
2) The TWO brief episodes in Excell Saga where they are either in america or dealing with american soldiers

I am guessing I am being spared from deep disapointment. (though I did see part of an anime take place in Mexico... it was also Excel Saga)

I think you're expecting too much.  How many western cartoons do you know that take place in Japan or even Europe at least?  There's probably a few but most seem to be in completely indeterminable places.  Their oooooooown world.

Also, every live-action show takes place in California, Florida, or New York.

Well there was that one case in Detective Conan that takes place in America.

...yeah I can't think of any other examples either.

Well let me think of shows that DOESN'T take place in America or an american-like culture

-Avatar
-Kappa Mikey
-Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd century
-Silvester and Tweetie Mysteries (because of its style, most episodes take place in Europe)
-Relic Hunter (Sort of?)

The issue I guess is that in America it is considered immortal to have your children watch shows about places that arn't america.

Animes however actually take place in other countries.

I wonder why they don't even have shows about Japanese people in Seattle at least.  Washington is apparently a favorite place for Japan to send their exchange students to learn English.  Something about how Washingtonians having a "neutral" accent.  At least, I like to think an anime that compares American Seattle culture to Japanese culture would be interesting  :P

Dammit, ninja'd me.
And it even has appropriate music for the setting.

And is awesome.
