Oh Gainax, you and your endings...  (Finally finished PS&G)

I'm glad that someone else actually enjoyed watching this. I'm just so sad that there isn't a following season to the dumb twist ending. No closure whatsoever.

I did just recently find out that there have been new Soundtrack releases since my last watch, and the music really is amazing entertaining by itself.

Yup, I can understand GitS this time through!  Hell, what a wonderful improvement.

I guess my brain is a lot more organized than it was a year and a half or so ago.

Damn, I just read chapter 156 of Kami-nomi.  That was intense.

And now I'm caught up.  Ah well.  I need another manga to read while it updates on Tuesdays.  Tower of God has chapter 62 out now but there's no translation yet.

TWGOK is very good.  My main problem with it is that some arcs are boring, there are about two male characters in the entire series, and the gag-ness might be too high but otherwise the plot is solid and the characters are funny/cool, usually.  It definitely has gotten better in the second half of the series so far.  Even if it might seem more typical sometimes.

Well since I'm still doing Ever17 and Fate/Zero I'll have to find another manga as well.  Probably Gunslinger Girl or something, I don't know.  Noblesse maybe?  In either case, I have a ton of stuff I can still do.

I finished Kaiji. Goddamn, if I didn't know there was a continuation in the manga, I'd be severely pissed at how that ended.

The show is heartstopping, in the sense that you're on the edge of your seat, holding your breath, and you have that niggling in your chest, like watching the murderer in a horror movie close in on his innocent prey.

The show definitely overuses it's exasperated visual metaphors for it's situations, but it can be forgiven for how incredibly tense the the show gets. I had to space out the last few episodes over the course of a couple hours, because I literally couldn't watch them one after the other. I couldn't physically sit still and be that tense for that long at a time.

I thought I would be turned off by how bizarrely nose-centric every character design is, but I'm glad I watched this through to it's end.

Watch the second season!  You might have to stop mid-episode though for breathers.  I wish the manga was fully scanlated.

I watched the full 26 episodes, isn't that the full two seasons, encompassing (what I believe to be) the first half of the manga?

Seems to be common.

Ive seen quite a few animes that are basically unfinished (but have a "last episode") because they were actually just tests to see if they could get viewers.

Marathoned Aim for the Top! GunBuster! earlier today. Interesting show, very obviously a Gainax show. Considering how old it is I realized either A: How distinct their style is or B: How many callbacks TTGL had to their earlier stuff. I suspect both might be true.

For those who haven't seen it/heard of it, I was informed it was something similar to TTGL, but it's more of a hybrid of TTGL with a high-school girl drama. Takes a little while to ramp up.

Unfortunately my love for Subs is rather hurt right now because I currently have to watch the WORST SUBS EVER! in order to finish the series I am watching.

IIRC, Aim for the Top! Gunbuster was literally THE show that put Gainax on the map.

I personally despise the sequel series, Diebuster. So bad.

I see no reason why Madhouse wouldn't adapt the third part of the manga.  Give them time.

Finished Higurashi for the second time, and I am even more glad that I can think of Rei as a non-canon set of side stories, because otherwise that coma sequence would be excruciatingly painful to watch after Rika suffer for so long.  :'(

Also, found a dubbed channel of Those Who Hunt Elves. I was intrigued by the TV Tropes page and am glad I could find it. Might decide to do a side-by-side reading and viewing, if I can find a scanlation site that hosts it. Seems like just the sort of campfest I need to take the edge off that bitter scent of depression and apathy.

That's S1. S2 is still currently airing, at 23/26 episodes. It's brilliant. For subs get Nutbladder. They're the only group thats done everything so far, except episode 14, as it was a recap with nothing new.

I knew it!  Ah well.  That just means more Kaiji.  I thought season 2 finished by now.  :P

EDIT:
New Tower of God.  How exciting.  It feels like I keep getting new awesome chapters to read every single day.  I'm at the point where I always have to be reading something each and every day.

My only wish now is if Liar Game and Sengoku Youko would get off their butts and update for once.

Started watching K-On! and reading Black Lagoon. Both are very entertaining (though DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT GENRES).
