Its the only full size show last season, I think. This season loads of stuff is big, Nichijou and Iroha are 26 episodes, Steins;Gate is 24. Rumors of Kajii 2 being 24 as well, although I'm not sure if it was confirmed as being 13 episodes.

Speaking of Nichijou, it really is hilarious. Exactly my type of comedy, so I was well chuffed when I heard that it was 26 eps. Its also by KyoAni, so the animation is really fluid.

Also watched the first ep of Deadman Wonderland earlier this morning, it was pretty good. I hear the manga is great, so i'm looking forward to the rest of the anime.

I heard Steins;Gate is good so I'll be checking that one out later as well.

You can make a list for yourself if you want.  Place a text file on your desktop and everything.

Have you ever watched an episode of a detective series (or a series... of three episodes) where the real criminal was SOO obvious it was annoying?

It was odd in that I identified the criminal first episode of the three parts, without relying on steriotypes and tropes mind you, and really he just went out of his way to make it even more cripplingly obvious.

He might as well have held a T-shirt saying "Hey dummies, I killed all those people. ARREST ME ALREADY!"

Also.. the Detective Woman of Ayatsuri Sakon is very incompetent. She also jumps to conclusions so fast and for so little reason that she would suddenly accuse a child of killing their father because he took one of the kid's chocolates. Honestly I am starting to hate gimic characters... and "Incompetent person who should be VERY competent" is rather grating.

It works better in other detective shows where the criminals are legitimately intelligent in crafting their crimes... but in this she cannot even collect basic evidence. For example she COULDN'T find a peice of wire attached to a gun even after examining the freeken gun. Sakon must have written her detective tests for her because I am sure I could fool her with picture frame with the words "This is the real criminal" painted on it. She doesn't even get a single episode of competence... You know how Detective Conan has an incompetent detective, though he is mostly lazy, even HE got episodes of competence.

Also NO she doesn't even beat people up or stumble upon clues. She is totally and completely useless. The ONLY thing she has done was provide a reason for our main character Sakon to be there. Though given that he is a master puppeteer, member of a rich family, AND a known detective himself he wouldn't need her (Only in the first episode is he hired for his detective skills) to give him reasons to be in these locations.

On the list of top 10 worst anime detectives she would rank WAY high up there. Even higher then ANY of the Case Closed (Detective Conan) ones.

So I watched Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea.

Excellent movie, a must watch for anyone of any age. It's true that it's premise is very similar to the Little Mermaid's, but it possesses the innocence and charm that Mr. Miyazaki saturates all his films in. I am disappointed though in that some things are kind of ignored in the end though...

I might just decided to indulge in everything Hayao Miyazaki for awhile.

I watched the first two eps of "Future Boy Conan", an old series directed by Mr. Miyazaki. It's about a world ravaged by super electromagnetic weapons of mass destruction that have sunk all the continents into the ocean, and now, 20 years in the future, the story begins with a young boy named Conan growing up on a deserted island with his grandpa. Their lives are interrupted with an animal-empathic girl named Lana washes upon their beach one day, with soldiers hunting her in tow, and Conan's adventure begins.

It seems really good so far.

For some reason, that sounds a lot like the world of Blue Sub No. 6.

Getting hard to remember all the anime people keep saying are good and original in here.

I've got a spreadsheet for that. One page has current season's airing anime with the day it airs, how many episodes it is, whose subs i'm using and the verdict on it. Another page is just a big list of stuff I want to watch at some point with how many episodes they are.

If only I had your sense of organization XD

If I'm not playing it by what I remember, I usually just scribble them down on paper(and usually the website where I watch said animoos/which subs/whatever)

I've got 78 shows and movies in my backlog, so i'd need a shitload of paper.

The last two episodes of the Hidamari Sketch×☆☆☆ blurays by Tortoise appeared on TT yesterday, which caught me by surprise. Watched them today, and my heart won't be functioning properly for a while. That OP in 1080p just kills me every time. Also, I never thought i'd see a reference to Ika Musume in Berserk of all things.
