Ugh, you guys make me want to a. rewatch NGE, because it was frickin' amazing b. go read my Kino's Journey light novels and c. get myself down to Kinokuniya to purchase Liar's game and Doubt! because goodness me, intrigue manga are amazing.

Liar Game is like 12 volumes right now so if you plan on buying them you're going to have to spent quite a bit of money.

Apparently, there's also a semi-half-sequal to Doubt!, if Tvtropes is to be trusted, called Judge! with a similar animal mask leitmotif.

I've yet to check it out, but it looks interesting.

Ergh, okay.  Well, I wasn't going to buy it right this minute--too lazy.  Might as well wait until the end and at least find out if I think it's a good investment.

I buy it in Japanese, though, which is rather a lot cheaper.

I remember being really disappointed at the ending of the anime of Yuu Yuu Hakusho. It was as if the production team went: "No! NO! That's it, we're ending this fight. Happy ending. Bam."

Doing some research, it seems that Young Jump (which publishes it) rotates its mangas every now and again, and Liar Game is currently on the back burner since the author wanted a break (and some time to gamble, if his Twitter account is to be believed).

I certainly hope that that insinuates that the author actually has a fair chance of getting back to it soon. I'd be very happy if so.

Also, does anyone know about an obscure anime called "Nodame Cantabile"? It looked kind of interesting and it's been talked of highly in the few reviews I've read, but I don't know whether or not to check it out.

I loved it so much that I watched it every Sunday night without subtitles for a year.  Every night.
