Well, got around to watching The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Overall, great watch.

Anyone know if the light novels are worth getting? The series has me interested.

I guess I should mention to Kinseti that I'm past the 400 episode milestone in One Piece now.

I'm on episode 401.

Ugh, why do I have a perverse sexual lust for the character Jewelry Bonney in One Piece?  Here's hoping she becomes more important than "one of those supernovas".

Dude, go on the Funimation official site.  They have all the One Piece dub there on their site.
It's even called http://onepieceofficial.com/videos.aspx
36 pages of dub goodness

Also, my Liar Game adventure continues.  I'm on volume 9 now, the next game for Round 4 is really cool.

Watch it in subs, get used to it, realize how horrific it is to listen to 40 years olds attempt to voice act.

Japanese freaking worship their voice actors so you know it's gonna be better quality.

Rule of thumb is that the Japanese are more resistant to annoying characters.

Naruto and Excell despite having their english potrayal being considered absolutely annoying... are outright spot on.

So good voice acting can be bad too.

Hell, the Japanese language is actually better suited for annoying characters. If I hear another stupid weeaboo shout "Kawaii!" I'm gonna stab someone.

So I watched like, episode 12 or something of Cowboy Bebop, it was called "Toys in the Attic", I think? Spike's last line was one of the funniest Aesops I've ever heard.

I am under the impression that pants are unusual to be included in female uniforms of even ordinary Japanese highschools. Usually when you do have females wearing pants it is because they took it from the male uniform and I am not sure how allowed or liked that is in Japan.

Oddly enough it is tough to find but there are anime episodes you can find where the lesson is "conform" which is an interesting contrast to the usual "Anti-conformist" television shows.

I am finishing up serial experiements lain.
I am amazed that Lain doesn't have Chuck Norris -esque facts
Lain can decompress an MD5 hash
Lain cools her computers with liquid carbon. It took her a while to figure out how to make the carbon stop turning into diamonds.
Lain thinks machine code is a high level language
Etc.
