If you want to learn Japanese and translate the anime for me that'd be just about the best thing ever, but sadly I don't think we have time for such luxuries in our Spartan home.

I just watched the dub since I got tired of reading.

Reading subs comes naturally to me and doesn't really  interfere with anything.
I blame it on watching foreign movies since I could watch movies.

The only thing I don't like about subs is that, sometimes, the anime has characters that suddenly start speaking in English, and the subs don't translate it because, why should they?

What then proceeds is me getting all tripped up because OH GOD THEY AREN'T SPEAKING IN THEIR GIBBERISH LANGUAGE ANYMORE I GOTTA LISTEN! Rewind! What are they saying? My god this is MY language, why can't I understand!?

It's like there's some colossal fight going on between the parts of my brain that handle reading, and the other parts that handle listening.

Worse, the occasional moments when it is understandable throw you off more.

They could do the <writing inside brackets> thing to indicate attempts at English.  Just coz with subs you aren't paying as much attention to the dialogue.

Yeah, the broken English sometimes gets in the way.
I couldn't watch the Trigun sub because of it.
Why would you only use English names that Japanese people can't speak?

I guess English language shows generally butcher any French in them.  Although not as much.

And some names get it especially bad.

Ever since I watched TTGL, I have been unable to watch action packed anime, at least the ones that are not as over the top. So now I'll watch mindfucking anime.

So I started watching Monster, holy fuck, +80 episodes.

Didn't know Monster was that long a series.

I'm almost done with Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and that has some really nice action, not super awesome mecha action but respectable action.

So far its living up to its name. The plot is very interesting and the characters well developed and realistic. Also, badass intro song.
