Manga may be better then anime. There is more of it, the stories are longer, nothing is cut out, but the problem is when you have 30 people with white hair that could be blue/ green/ pink/ red/ or just white...It get's confusing.

The issue with the whole "Red text is true" thing is that Beatrice says several things in red text that are blatantly false. For example she says that the only way to open a door is with the appropriate key, which is absolute bullshit, those are mechanical locks, they can be picked, and iirc she also claims that the keys cannot be copied, which is also bullshit.

There were a few other red text moments that would have made me laugh in her face were i in Battler's position, but i can't remember them

The problem is that she's a wilting flower and completely incapable of doing anything but look distressed at people in a slightly disconcerting manner.

Combine Ichigo's Heroic Resolve with Orihime's "Reality Does What I Tell It To Do" powers and you would have a character so unstoppable that Aizen would have exactly enough time to go "Fuuuuuu-" before ceasing to exist.

Orihime has the power to literally kill any character in the series, the problem is, her powers are keyed to how much she wants them to happen, and because she's a wilting flower she can't bring herself to want to kill anyone, making her attacks about as effective as a soft pillow.

Her shield sees a little more use, but again she just doesn't have the strength of will required to really use it for anything more than blocking the occasional blow, her "bring people back from the dead" bubble sees the most use, as she really wants to help people and be nice, so that power is basically supercharged and gets to do whatever the fuck it wants to do.


Orihime's 3 powers basically translate to this:

Reality: This guy is dead, look he has a hole in him.
Orihime: No! He's not dead!
Reality: You're absolutely right, he's not dead, let me patch that hole up.

Reality: This fireball is going to hit you and explode!
Orihime: No!
Reality: You're right, it's not going to hit you at all. What was i thinking?

Reality: This guy is alive!
Orhime: No! he's dead!
Reality: You're right, he's dead, look he's been chopped in half and everything.


But, as i said; her powers are keyed to her willpower and are only as strong as she wants them to be, which means that she can heal any injury at all, up to and including death (with one notable exception so far, although she was suffering from Arrancar mindfuckery at that point in time), but her shield falls behind the par, and her attack is totally worthless.

As you are probably aware, Ulquiorra just killed Ichigo, again, unfortunately this is the one exception to the rule that "Orihime can heal anything" as he basically stuffed all his black cero reiatsu into the wound and Orihime is feeling too sad to fight it off. Fortunately death isn't even a mild inconvenience to his inner hollow, especially when the cause of death is something that looks suspiciously like a hollow hole.

Basically: either next episode or the episode after, Ichigo goes batshit crazy, Ulquiorra screams like a little girl. Also new hollow mask (because nothing says "Shonen" like "new powers as the plot demands".)


Personally i'm waiting for the Anime's depiction of Soifon's Bankai, it's shown briefly in the OP, but seriously, her Bankai is a tactical nuclear missile. It doesn't get better than that folks.

I've only read the manga, but from what I've seen, Banai's either fall into perfect weapon for that person or complete oppersite. Gin's bankai looked kinda crap in till it was explained then I was 0_o

If you watch the current Anime OP, there's a nuclear explosion at the end. That is the result of Soifon's Bankai.

The progression is fairly simple; Shikai is 2 hits, 1 kill, Bankai is 1 hit, many kill. And what better way to kill lots of things in 1 hit than by launching a large black and yellow tactical nuclear weapon into the fray? None whatsoever!
