But I am assuming that "Ippo has real consequences for his actions" or "Ippo gets brain trauma" isn't in that spoiler
-Seriously if he STILL hasn't suffered some dang consequences then I am calling it... Ippo has super powers. He has skirted around tendon tearing, nerve damage, brain damage, and a bunch of other stuff. For the sake of storytelling he HAS to have had ONE of those things happen to him... have some sort of rehabilitation arc.

I'd look but I am hoping the anime will start up again.

Just started Non Non Biyori, in other news.
The first episode kind of sold itself to me. Starting to think I have a soft spot for Animu kids (although Sweetness & Lightning girl is starting to wear on me, weirdly.)

As for slice of life I was surprised to find out that Sabagebu is a shojo manga (genres listed as "Action, Comedy, Military, Shoujo"), which shows how completely arbitrary the "shojo/shonen/seinen" categories are. e.g. Nichijou is "shonen", whereas K-On and Non Non Biyori are "seinen". So you have series from all three of those categories which are basically the same thing.

Also going to plug Acchi Kocchi, which is super cute and doesn't get much mention.

I know, but Sabagebu is still a surprise to get picked up by a shojo publisher. It's basically the lone example of one of those "4 highschool girl's daily life" series in the entire shojo category. I checked the first 3 pages (300 titles) of most popular shojo series on MAL and there's nothing really comparable. Magical girl shows, and idol music shows are the closest, but they're not the same thing as a daily life ensemble series. Daily life with just dudes, those exist in shojo, but almost never one with just girls. More than just a fluke, this getting picked up by a shojo publisher is some sort of aberrant freak of nature.

Someone finally convinced me to watch an ep of high school earth defence force love and it is a truly marvellous piss-take.
Didn't know what I was expecting but all the self-referencing humor is pretty well done.

Of course I didn't watch any further than that in case anyone found out.

That's how Kaleid is, totally one of the shows where you reflexively flip to a different tab when someone walks in, but those "what I watched, what I expected, what I got" images for it kinda sum up the whole "wait, this is supposed to be a lighthearted magical girl spinoff from fate/stay night?" response.
