If there is one thing that REALLY bugs me about Fairytale's Edolas it is this

They are dead... DEAD! I cannot imagine them surviving after removing all magic from their universe.

1)They have a population entirely reliant on it for everyday tasks
2) They live in an area VERY poor for growing crops
3) I dunno... but the total and complete collapse of the ecosystem along with mass extinctions...

I know the series might eventually check back in on them... but no frankly I cannot think of a single non-asspull way of having them survive.

I found out the other day that some people don't consider Pokemon to be an anime. It's the "anime is a style" type of people. They want to exclude a pile of episodic/for kids Japanese anime as even being anime, while allowing things like Avatar TLA to be counted as "real" anime.

Finally got around to watching OPM. I'm enjoying it most for the light character drama, rather than the action or parody elements. It's nice to have a series that just has characters bouncing off each other without all the excessive fanservice and melodrama, especially when the humor is restrained and good.

I still sometimes have to remind myself "Oh, that's an anime" because I watched it in English as a very young child, before I even knew such a thing as anime existed.

Well stuff like that came at the tail end of the "whitewashing" period of anime in America, so it's not hard to be fooled. I just love me some jelly donuts. Mmm donuts. Jelly donuts. Say it often enough like you're trying to convince yourself it's true.
