The only series that's ever really been banned in my memory is MLP, which is more of a common misconception of Toady's ruling since it isn't actually totally banned. We're just not allowed to make dedicated threads about it anymore. Long story.

No it was several years ago. Shortest way of putting it, the threads for it during the fan-base's heyday got locked three times in a row before Toady pulled the plug. They happened for mostly off topic reasons before you ask.

Ok I always thought the official explanation for why Ash is still 10 (or... 11) is that an impossible number of events have passed in a short period of time (or that... Pokémon years are MUCH longer then ours).

But NOPE! It is that days, months, and years pass in universe officially... but ash is still 10 years old!

Ohh if only that was the case. It isn't that he isn't physically older.

It is that he is stuck in some time loop where time still advances and goes forward, yet he is stuck in year 10, 10 months, and 10 days.

Perpetually 1 month and 20 days until his birthday.

Is more likely than anyone would probably want to think. Guy can manipulate aura. If not a straight up pokemon, it's a non-zero possibility he's at least got some blood in 'em. Among all the other stuff that could be involved, y'do have to remember we still have no zogging clue who (or what) his father is.

Don't ask how the genetics would work out. Blame it on arceus. Or one of the other legendaries, I guess.

... do we even know if that one is male? Despite the name, the critters have a 50/50 gender split.

I mean. It might not actually make a difference, pokemon world being the pokemon world. But if some part of canon confirmed it was male, that'd make the theory more plausible.
