Wasn't someone on here once saying that Tokyo Ghoul season 2 didn't really follow that manga anyway? When they do that, it's the death knell for additional seasons. Studio Pierrot at their finest.

I think you really need to take the plunge and read the manga from the start to get the most out of it. I know some people like to pick up the manga from where the show ended, but I find that too jarring, the same way people find going from dubs to subs jarring.

I just realised that my favourite movie as a kid was actually a feature-film version of a manga. I guess that's anime.

Well, the "manga" in this case was a series of watercolors (15 pages in total), which were created by Miyazaki. So it's really just some concept art with a vague story, which happened to be published before the movie was produced.

I've already gushed about Sakamoto, but I literally can't stop gushing. He'd fit right into the One Punch Man-universe, the Gary Stu satire is too strong.
