One Piece is the only shonen series that is nearly unanimously agreed to be good.

Bleach and Narutos have massive fanbases that are in a state of perpetual cold war with each other, but almost everyone can agree that One Piece is awesome.

Huh... pretty much every series I've watched so far has been "shonen".

That means you're probably a young male, mid to late teens.

Yep.  Actually I suppose series based on novels don't technically class as Shonen, but whatever.

Y'know, if supernatural stuff began to kick off around me as happens in so many series, I wouldn't question my sanity, attempt to explain it to anyone or go along with it.  I'd just get on the next train and try to get as far away from it all as possible.

Sure, it'd be hard to explain to your (absentee) parents, but it's probably best to worry about the girl with an axe first and your parents' reaction later.

I can also feel my mind slowly disintegrate as I watch.

Desert Punk, great series about a mercenary, first episode was okay, but after a few in you just get sucked right up through it.

 Note to self: Even if there is a major change to a character you love, don't go finishing the entire series in 48 hours. In fact, don't watch videos right before you fall asleep. If something tragic happens you will want a buffer so you will be able to sleep that night. If you do watch a tragic thing and it is late, just watch the next few videos and not the entire season. You'll just have even more problems sleeping, or concentrating the next few days as you can't fully process what you have just seen.

TV Tokyo only aired twenty-five of the series' twenty-six episodes, with the finale having been intentionally made too violent and obscene for public broadcast

did anyone find the part at the end when it suddenly changed tone, equally, or even more hilarious than the previous episodes? I've read some reviews that seemed to miss the crowning moment of idiocy that it was for the whole series. It was as if the story went so far into the demented that it came around from the other side. A temporary fit of reason.
And then it rebound in the "going too far" ep, and everything was right(er) again.
