I should remind you that Uwe Boll has spoken to Blizzard to make A World of Warcraft movie.

Unfortunately Blizzard didn't go with Uwe Boll, but they have announced movie(s). Actually it sounds like the Warcraft movie is still going to be a big heaping pile of cheese though. Great games but the backstory of Warcraft is really cheesy in that sounds-like-names-from-a-12-year-olds-D&D-campaign type way. Because Tolkien is the modern era source, yet he was still derivative (of legends), whereas Warcraft is derived from D&D and Warhammer, which were themselves heavily derived from Tolkien.

Anyway, that live action Naruto sounds like just the thing for further marginalizing Naruto in the mainstream. They're usually abysmal, and any non-fans who see such a travesty are not likely to get a good impression of the source material, e.g. "Oh you like Street Fighter, well I caught that movie on TV and god was it bad!".

It is because Warcraft is about what unfolds infront of your eyes and not in the backstory.

I am not going to say its story is bad... because "a videogame story isn't bad because it conforms to the game"

It really isn't about the efforts of individuals (except recently...) but about armies and nations.

Yeah, it's not really designed to stand up in the way they need. The tale of Grundar Throzblottle vs Grantroth Wyverntree. It's the kind of thing where you actually wish the writers could just throw out the character names and reboot the whole thing.

With characters in the movie such as Orgrim Doomhammer,  Grommash Hellscream,  Anduin Lothar, Garona Halforcen I'm not really exaggerating, I'm unable to come up with names as puerile as Blizzards because I'm not 12 anymore. And with silly names you know the actors won't take the movie, or it's fans, seriously.

True, at least they're not ruining something that has any distinctive merit of its own.

I mean, your average made-for-SyFy flick has a more coherent and internally consistent narrative, even if you don't count Shippuden and Kishimoto's eye fetish pre-Chunin Exam Neji level of Fate wanking slow descent into madness as canon.
