I've been going through some classics I missed, and I caught my first few episodes of Slayers earlier. It's totally tongue-in-cheek, and the dialogue breaks the fourth wall more than a few times even in the first episode.

It's almost like Record of Lodoss War meets... Fooly Cooly?

I suppose. Slayers is a gem. Uh, I remember my favorite joke from the first episode of one of the series. They're at a pub and she ate to her heart content and her stomach pouches out half way as much as her breast.

I should start watching that again soon. After DB/Z. Almost done with Ranma 1/2.

RoLW!  Finally I find someone else who knows Lodoss.  That was the first series I ever watched.

...

Orson and Ashram were my favorite characters, and then Shiris for the Santa outfit and not being a moron.

Lodos Wars is on my todo list, though right now I am not watching new shows. They require me to pay attention.

What are you talking about, everyone knows Lodoss. It's the only D&D adaptation that isn't complete crap and is actually fun to watch.

The sequel though...
Great opening, one of the best. But the rest is pretty unwatchable.
