I only just started watching Mirai Nikki after being convinced to do it by a friend...

I think it was one of the best things I've done this year :D I already got FMA downloaded, and 20 episodes of Mirai Nikki left to watch. I'll be done by the evening. Any other animes you'd recommend?

Allow me to be the first to say this...

Also in other news today's Log Horizon compressed an entire LN volume into a single episode that only just barely made sense as a result. Lovely.

Kill la Kill gets a definite +1 from me. And the New Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works is worth it just to goggle at the amazing battle scene animation.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead - A fun zombie survival rougelike that I'm dev-ing for.

Thanks a bunch, that's almost enough to fill in the winter break ;) I haven't watched any animes prior to Mirai Nikki, but I've heard about some of them.

Make sure Cowboy Beebop is one your plan-to-watch list as well. One of the best classic 90's anime.

It's just that I haven't seen Outlaw Star yet. I cannot recommend what I haven't watched.

I think you mean Cowboy Beepboop, the riveting tale of a robot gunslinger in the wild west.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
