On the plus side movies are RARELY necessary for any series.

The last time I heard of a movie actually being important for an anime... was Pokémon's Mewtwo movies (both of them)... but even then the stuff that was in the movie gets explained in the episode they are important.

And Card Captor Sakura's Movie Finale (as in the movie actually concludes the series).

I cannot think of many movies that also do that...

Eden of the East Movie maybe?

I have been watching Psycho-Pass recently and I have been really digging it.  Cool sci-fi ideas and good action scenes.  Anyone else see it?

Unless I missed something, its set to air in October. Though I should clarify, I mean Psycho-Pass 2 not the second half of Psycho-Pass.

I started reading something called Yotsubato. It's quite charming, but after watching PMMM I get the feeling that everything will go to hell soon :v

To clarify possible Psycho-Pass confusion, right now they're rerunning Psycho Pass 1, but they've cut the 22 episodes into 11 double-length episodes with a few minutes of new footage here and there, they name this "Extended Edition" on MAL. After episode 11 of this rerun, there will be actual new episodes starting around October.

I'm starting to wonder how many more episodes Stardust Crusaders is gonna get. If any half-decent stand user is gonna get 2 parters, and we're putting in every stand period, then we're looking at no less than a 36 episode season.
