I like where this is going. I was mentally screaming at Slaine to shoot the guy during that whole post credits scene and it was so satisfying when he did.

It really is just a matter of "How bad do I wanna do this?" I mean, the boat scene alone is like to be accompanied by a constant stream of "Oh god oh man" from me. I'll get around to it one day.

What I really liked about this episode was how they took down an unbeatable enemy. Nobody was "the chosen one" or luckily had some mysterious powers, nobody "went Super-Saiyan" and they didn't asspull any top-secret super-robot out for the kids to pilot.

What they did do, was to rationally think about the enemy's abilities, pinpointed weaknesses that actually made sense and were logically sound, and exploited those weaknesses with clever tactics (without needing any BS "I'm a genius" stuff).

This was awesome while watching it, i really hope they don't go the traditional way these shows go. We'll see i guess.

Also, for all it's low points the magic in mahouka really is quite cool in execution. Makes for unique fight scenes at least. (saying this after watching the episode released today. Whys everything release on saturday.)

Well, the anime certainly captures the feelings of characters better than the manga.

So I've began and Undertaking of watching Pretty Cure and trying to catch up on all of the seasons/series of it that I've missed since it's release. So it looks like I'll be busy for quite some time.
But honestly: as far as Magical girl anime go, FwPC has won my heart.

Watch out, though, the third is a bit of a base breaker of a film, and it's so densely packed with abstraction that I didn't understand why anything was happening until I read up on shit afterward. And even now, I'm only grudgingly accepting. Very different feelings, I'd say, but of similar magnitude.

If the series is a story about how much Homura loved Madoka, Rebellion is a story about how much Homura hates Homura, or at least that's a very simplified version of what I took away from it.

More like rebellion reveals the truest form of Grief itself which many people IRL have the hardest time accepting as the truth. Of course translating something like that into canon of an anime really makes for WTFness amongst the fans.

But then again: MSMM is a mind-screw series...so yeah...
