Don't forget, he wanted to kill Goku in the Frieza arc. And then he planned to retire him in the afterlife after the Cell Games.

People made remixes of "Before my Body is Dry" from Kill la Kill. Aka "Don't lose your WAAAAAAAAY~~"

Shit's hype yo.

Before My Body is Dry (Tomatomerde Remix)
Before My Body is Dry (Ottiki&Charlotte's Bootleg Remix)

Also relevant is a mashup of Persona 4 and Gurren Lagann. "I'll Libera Myself from Hell"
"Tomatomerde"... My French is terrible, but if I remember correctly, that means "Shitty Tomato".

Well merde means shit. Tomato doesn't mean anything in french. So: it could mean "Tomatoshit" if you really wanted it to.

Well I'll put it to you like this... How long do single unimportant battles with no character importance last in terms of episodes?
There are a couple of single-episode relatively contained stories, but I think every arc that lasts for more than one episode has significant consequences.

OK, Japan has anthropomorphized versions of everything from European countries to computer operating systems...

Know of any for physics forces?

String-kun and Weak-kun?

Electro-tan and Magnet-tan?

Gravity-sama?

Don't tell anyone that you can see their shadows. If they hear you telling anyone, if you let them know that you know of them, they will get you.

The four fundamental forces would be a good motif and I'm sure someone's used it

Toriyama also wanted to permanently kill off Vegeta in pretty much every arc, but then the fans kept on saving him 9_9 It's not like that really resulted in anything bad for the series

Actually it kind of helped in some ways. In that it created a character with issues that couldn't just be magically solved.

Mind you it does lead to a few head scratching moments where you seriously question why anyone puts up with Vegeta.

Because as the Buu saga shows, Vegeta is not easy to take down. Better to put up with his occasional tantrums than to blow up half the universe attempting to kill him.

Which is why I love him so.

Oh thank god, other people like Vegeta ._.
Sure, he's a jerk sometimes. But he's the best kind of jerk.

He's hilarious! He's an angry jumped-up moper by the standard of Goku's friends and an raging genocidal shitbag by the standard of any normal person. Perfect setup for comedy! And gore!
Sorta-relevant: What's your opinion on TFS's version of Vegeta?

I don't know Vector... Vegeta is pretty much perfectly in character for the Cell Saga. Albeit even LESS whiny then in the actual anime (where he just whines on... and on... and on)

It takes quite a while in that saga before he actually receives some character development...

Quote
the characterization and motivations seem pretty unrelated to the source...

If I remember correctly Vegeta was suffering heavily from his lost honor and the feelings of inadequacy... at least from the start.

To me the Abridged's stronger points is that everyone is, for the most part, in character (sorta)
