I dont have any issues with long running series. If they are still running it can be hard to get into it, and if it doesnt have an actual ending, I dont want to invest the time into it.

Currently I'm watching StarGate SG-1, and I am on season seven.

Like, I like One Piece, but its fucking long, and it seems like it'll never end.

My major issue with ranma 1/2 is that it has no real conclusion for being so long. Still though, I find myself rewatching it again.

If it has an ending i'll watch it.

I'm fan of notably long franchises, like gundam and macross/robotech. Which has several ending and it all starts over again.

For Ranma 1/2, do you really need an ending?

Plot: 2 people promised to be married by their fathers, boy meets girl first, girl meets boy first = they get married no matter how many badly designed magna coincidences or misunderstanding get in between them.

And also, is it the same artist as the Akira manga? That second page looks straight out of a Tetsuo-flipping-out scene.

That makes me want someone to make another end of the world/rebuilding/war game.

Wiki:

Eden: It's an Endless World! is a manga by Hiroki Endo. Eden is set in the near future, following a pandemic which killed 15 percent of the world's population, crippled or disfigured many more, and upset the world's political balance greatly. Eden is to some extent based on Gnostic mythology, with some characters, such as Ennoia, being named after Gnostic entities, and other Gnostic influences being seen in the themes of the ongoing story.

The series begins with a long introduction, with the characters Ennoia and Hannah living a peaceful life on a remote island called Eden, with researcher Lane Morris, who is their guardian, a victim of the pandemic. The events that led to this situation are revealed in flashbacks, leading up to the return of Ennoia's father, along with the forces of the Propater Federation.

Following this, the story moves forwards twenty years, and focuses on Ennoia's son, Elijah, and his own conflict with Propater.
His father has become a powerful drug lord, feared and despised by many, including, to an extent, his own family. During a terrorist attack, Elijah, at the time aged 15, is separated from his mother and sister and now has to handle things on his own. 'Eden' is about his coming-of-age as a man and trying to survive both bodily and morally in world that is too complex for mere "black and white". He encounters many other characters, both allies and enemies, all sharing the same struggle to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.

Many stories are included of these people Elijah meets, telling of their past or following life, sometimes volumes later, furthering understanding of the characters and giving increased depth to the world of the book as a whole.

The Skinny of it. If Ghost in the Shell involved more Military Ops and less investigation, it'd be Eden.

Edit: Just checked, he didn't do Akira.

i dont have a problem with length, its filler. If im reading or watching something and its thrown up lots of questions i want answers too and then turns of down some vaguely relevant side plot, then i get the feeling its too long

The problem with long series is that they usually have filler. Filler is just boring, and then when the plot starts up again, it is like it never happened. I prefer as little filler as possible.

Filler exist because a single episode can cover months worth of chapters, and shorter to produce it then it is to draw it, for some reason.

Filler cant be escaped. --- Filler can be escaped if the source is a completed work. Original anime with no magna source tend to not have filler.

So am I alone in thinking that bleach is kinda of boring?

It has some moments but I find it terribly lacking.

I was bored and decided if it was possible for someone to label a manga as both shoujo (for females) and shonen (for males)....and apparently there is....and i can't stop laughing  ;D
