@Chaoswizkid:
Is Rosario + Vampire good?  It looks like a harem romcom with "some" supernatural elements that don't really matter.

And I am now hyped for Kyoukai no Kanata.
Why are KyoAni doing this it doesn't look completely awful.

Toony, that's pretty much exactly what the first season of Rosario + Vampire is. The manga and the second season are both quite a bit darker, and focus much more on the fighting and spoilers.

Minami-ke.  I am going to watch it.  <3

After knowing of its existence for some 6 years, I'm actually going to go sit down and see it.

What Flying Dice said, except the second season of the anime is also bad for the same reason that the first season of the anime is bad. Bad because bad. I've harped on enough about it.
The manga has some definite redeeming qualities. The big thing is that it's definitely got a harem romcom highschool drama deal going on, and yeah, there are a bunch of fights, and it feels all tropey and stuff, but that's all on the surface. If you take a step back, you realize that it's not just another "everything works out great in the end!" story. It's almost a deconstruction, except it doesn't focus enough on it to be a proper deconstruction, but its there.
I enjoyed R+V and I'm still enjoying it. It gets past most of its silliness much faster than in the anime and you get an impression of "Oh, man... if I think about it... that's not good at all..." It's a very atypical shounen action-romance, I guess. I'm not trying to sell it really hard because it really isn't for everyone. *shrug*

As for "supernatural elements", I'm not sure what you mean. There being monsters is a pretty big deal, although it mostly just plays out in the fights (until then it's more of a setting/premise thing and plays a back seat to high school drama). There's magic, but you don't see that for a while. I mean, there's supernatural elements all over (a good portion of it is about being a monster high school), I'm just not sure what you'd classify as "don't really matter".

I know of a very good Rosario + Vampire fanfic that did a heavy deconstruction of what it would actually have been like for Tsukune to be in that situation (he never meets/befriends Moka). It's pretty brutal throughout, the characterizations stay as they should given the circumstances, and it ends on a surprising note. I won't spoil it, but anyone who was annoyed by the silly harem antics in canon will almost certainly enjoy it, particularly one specific scene.

Are there any anime streaming websites which allow you to adjust the quality of the video? Every time I've tried to watch anime via some kind of streaming website in the past year I've been unable to keep watching because the video is too high quality and thus stresses out my computer.

I approve of this fanfic and its author. He mostly writes smut, but most of the smut has plot. That fic is also NSFW, but it doesn't get sexually explicit (although it does get violently explicit).

@MadMalk, crunchyroll allows you to change settings. It has an initial "meh" video quality, though you can improve it with subscription. Not really what you're looking for, but the standard resolution might be okay. Also, we're not really allowed to link to anything less-than-completely-legitimate (at least I think we're not, but sometimes we do anyway), so I'm not sure anyone's going to be able to reply to you in-thread about it.

Well thanks anyways. It's just as well as most of what I want to watch is on DVD. I just don't have the money for it at this time. I might after Sunday as my payee is going to perhaps put an extra $300 USD into my bank account alongside $50 for groceries and $50 for utilities, and while most of that $300 is for a new computer I might be able to get some DVDs and a DVD player too.

Back again with confusing Japanese SnK videos!

This one features Levi doing unfortunate things with soda pop and soy sauce.  I haven't found any so far that don't feature him, unfortunately, but if I see anything else neat I'll link it here.

I do enjoy the anime moviiiess. My favourite? Prolly all the studio Ghibli films, i love them. Good stories, nice morals and above all good animation. I also like Trigun, funny as hell, and also the good old Ghost in the Shell.

Yay another fellow studio Ghibli fan! Hello friend!

If I remember correctly Hayao Miyazaki is going to retire from Ghibli.

Yeah, you need to kill that link.  Sorry.

Here's a non-porny newspaper link.

Crunchyroll has only low quality videos if you're a free member, not sure if that's what you're after.

More importantly it has Attack on Titan and FZ.

Is he actually retiring now? Because he's been 'retiring' ever since Princess Mononoke, if memory serves, and Ponyo was supposed to be him handing the reins over but apparently he couldn't do that (tons of evidence that he actually did do a bunch of stuff for Ponyo despite not stamping his name on it).
