3. Release all of the gobbos in the arena.
4. Convice some nekkid dwarves that they must fight in the arena nekkid, or else...their rooms might be flooded while they are sleeping. 
5. Have fun watching the mass wrestling event.

Build a fortress that makes some people very unhappy (like not having any cats around a chasm and having someone who abhors bats) and drive them to berserking.  Then, defend your fortress exclusively with insane dwarves.

You would need to use companion to give them noeat, nodrink, and nosleep. Otherwise they would die before you would have a chance to get an ambush.

Well, you can't just have berserking dwarfs running about needlessly.  Cage them, and then imagine the look on the goblins' faces as they approach the fortress.

Goblin 1: Enemy has cages out front.
Goblin 2: Probably more wardogs.  The last fort had thirty of the little buggers.

You could do the same with real soldiers, then. Build a boot camp where immigrants are brought to a predetermined skill level, locked in a room, knocked out with cave-in dust and caged.
Said cages are placed outside your fortress, to be released at a moment's notice.
