After looking around town for a palace and being disappointed at not finding one, Inaluct runs to the king's room and barges in, yelling

"I've heard someone is trying to extort money from you, my liege!! I am a warrior and I have come to yell and break things and threaten whoever wants money from you! I am at your service."

Haha, this should be interesting, what with me having the earth stones out but guarded, Armok demanding to see them and to be paid 300 gold, and Inaulct running up and yelling/trying to break random things while threatening the bird lady.

"WHO SAID WE GAVE YOU THE GEMS?!"

(Am I missing something? Is Armok talking about some other gems?)

Inaluct grunts and punches Armok's beak belligerently.

"WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST COME IN HERE AND STEAL THE KING'S GEMS?!?"

(If it's five i can only assume Kashykk is in the group? because I was not under that impression but we will just keep going with that)

Things had started to get heated and Flint was glad that the mysterious cloaked stranger had attracted everyones attention, however he could not help but join them in their stares as the stranger simply wandered off again. "Is this place full of you nutters or what?" Flint asked the disturbing old man. However he was ignored as the old man was blathering on continuosly to the now very confused doctor.

"If we could just have some order here please!" Flint could not believe his eyes when everyone actually turned and listened, well if what Dwarfaholic did could be described as turning. "Look 500 gold right? And there are five of us right? so hows about 100 a piece to all of you, 80 coins for my strange companion here as I doubt he will be anything more than a hinderance and 120 for me as I found the damn thing?"

The rest of the group pondered

With annoyance, Nirur Torir sent out messengers to stop the wizards from trying to merge with gems, and bring the gems here. He then opens a small chest with gold in it, closes it, and locks it again. "Very well, strange one. I've stopped the wizards from using the gems, and will give you 300 gold if you can give me a particularly good reason why you deserve the gold."

Dwarfaholic considers Flintus' deal.

He finishes a few bottles before finally accepting the offer.

The messengers arrive, carrying the renaming gems. They put them down, along with the gems from the cabinet. The 9 remaining gems are now arranged in a circle.

((Yes, there are only 9 left. That miner absorbed 11.))

Berdok stands, hoping to gain their attention, just a little ways from the group. "Hello? Am I completely invisible?"

The bird woman waits impatiently till all the gems are gathered in a huge pile on the floor.
impatiently
impatiently
IMPATIENTLY

Inaluct dives over the pile of gems and pins the bird woman against the wall with the blunt part of his pickaxe.

"How DARE you display impatience in the presence of our revered monarch?! Have you no concept of dignity? You come in here demanding to see the earth gems, as if you were in any position to make demands of our king! You should be imprisoned for even implying that the king should comply with what you imply that you want done."

"You're fragmented race of refugee freaks has no authority here."

(Come on, guys, back me up with this belligerence. I'm right. Or at least tell me to calm down.)
