Dwarves Fall asleep, get dehydrated... and die?
« on: December 08, 2008, 02:49:20 am »

My Dwarves went to sleep in their recently mined out bedrooms, slowly became dehydrated, and eventually all died in their beds.
If anyone can shed any light on such a situation it'll be mch appreciated.

You're sure drink was available?

This used to be an issue in older versions, where dwarves would sleep for far, far too long. How long were they asleep for, and are you sure you're using the latest version (.40d)?

Drinks were readily available

They slept for roughly a season before dying

Im highly positive I have the latest version

So... go figure

It really sounds like you aren't using the newest version, even if you think you are.  That sounds exactly like a bug that was fixed not terribly long ago.

Yeah, I suggest checking and making sure it's .40d. I know that sounds obvious, but this WAS a very common bug in older versions.

If not, make sure they have a clear path to either water (make sure it's FRESH water) or booze.

File you downloaded should have the version on it.

Whew, so it wasn't a resurgence of the sleeping sickness. That's a relief.
