Any way to get the remains (like the rats and other pests) to be forbid on drop? I'm starting to get annoyed by my dwarves going outside with the gaint bats around and having to search multiple z-levels for them. I don't eve know whats killing the pests since I don't have any cats.

you can order dwarves to ignore refuse outside, though they will ignore goblin corpses and the like as well.

It's off the (o)rders menu, I think it's (r)efuse then (o)utside for the toggle but I don't remember for sure offhand.

Otherwise you can go to the (o)rders, (F)orbid, then set it to auto forbid corpses (don't remember the letter for that) and then just manually reclaim all the goblin corpses or whatever you do want to bring in.

Well, you might be able to remove bat remains from the refuse stockpiles themselves

I'm not worried about the corpses, those are uder the auto forbid, but I mean the remains like what a cat leaves behind, the dragonsflies, lizards, ect. There are no cats on my map yet the remains keep poping up. I hate having to watch the front instead of watching my fort.

Best thing you can do is change the refuse pile settings. I usualy have 2 set up, one that only takes bone and shell, the other outside and takes everything else. Just set up your refuse pile that takes most things to not accept the things that are causing you problems. After all, if the dwarfs don't have anywhere to put them, they wont go after them.

Ah great idea, if theres any remains inside I'll just have them dump it. This also reminds me I need to start digging out the tombs.
