An interesting development... I was comparing his flags in Companion to other tame crocs.  When I toggled 0x10, he became butcherable again, and no longer Hostile, and I think he stopped destroying statues too.  Yay!

Sorry to be a thread necromancer, but I've just had the same thing happen to me. One of my tame cave crocodiles is systematically toppling all my statues.

He's not at all hostile though, and doesn't even have a name. Which sucks, as I now have no way to single him out for butchering. :(

I was trying to cage him, but it turns out that I was mistaken and he is in fact hostile. I haven't seen him attack anything other than statues though.

I managed to lock the culprit in my archery range. I sent in my archers, but the croc and the dwarves just ignore each other. It seems the damn critter is only hostile to statues. :-\

Turns out he is completely covered in blood and vomit though, so at the very least he's been near some slaughtering. Could have been the (very) recent siege.

This crocodile sounds like he has the right idea. Build a palace for him.

I suspect the humans and the statues are plotting something ...

Oh god. You're right! If crocs go insane and attack non-dwarves it is a mandatory inclusion in every fortress to farm crocs and make a pit to throw elves into!

What really surprises me is that nobody thought of this earlier.

Sorry everyone, I finally put him down with a bunch of spike traps. But don't be too disappointed; I have plenty of untamed cave crocs to kill any and all elves that fall into my hands.

Yes you do.

If he's the 3rd croc you have listed under the < u > menu, then he's the 3rd in every other similar menu.  You might have to use <c> to figure out which one he is, but how many can you have?
