I don't think AMD will go *poof* but certainly heads at AMD will roll and it will be at least for a few more cycles - the budget option for CPUs.

On another point, Dell has an extremely good deal on a computer fitted with this processor. It's actually cheaper than assembling it yourself with individual parts.

Feh, as long as it HAS a video card you can swap out for a better. It's a decent deal for i7 I guess.
