Windows Automation Recorder - FREE TODAY (not spam, trust me)
« on: December 01, 2008, 06:22:59 pm »

Got linked this by a friend- it's windows only, but may be useful for people who build the same thing several times.  Since it's normally $30 and free for 24 hours (not sure when the deal started, so it's probably a lot less), I'm linking now- It might be useful for some people.

You didn't explain what this program is or why I should care, but I don't think it belongs in the Dwarf Fortress discussion forum :I

Sorry, was busy dealing with forum drama elsewhere -_-

basically, it's a macro recorder- it'll record and play back keystrokes and such, which would be useful for people who build a lot of the same stuff such as digging commands.

And, uh, hang on a sec *Sukasa locks the forge rooms

Sukasa isn't a spammer.  A spammer wouldn't have bothered responding.

That program does seem useful to dwarf fortress, but I'm afraid I am suspicious of things like that, especially if they have a name like "lifehacker".  Probably harmless but I am overly careful.

Unfortunately this forum lacks people I hate to convince to be a sacrificial lamb.

I already installed it.

Also, Lifehacker's actually pretty good.  They're the same company as Kotaku and The Consumerist, and they've been around a while, to the best of my knowledge >_>.

And I, uh, do hope I'm not a spammer since I've been here since before the Z-levels version

Perhaps you're only a carrier of the virus, and the symptoms are very subtle?

In which case I imagine we're all infected.

Speaking of which, has anyone else been gripped by the urge to quench their thirst with delicious Mountain Dew (tm)? I know I have.
