I didn't know that the doctor could save someone from a lynching.

And regarding what you're saying, I can neither confirm nor deny my prior assertions to living players, however, my dead body will stand firmly by what I said before.

This is largely due to rigor mortis.

According to the mafia rules (the one I copied this game from), you can save someone who's lynched.

Would you prefer I only allow saving for certain types of lynching?

Also, assume he frayed the rope just a bit, and it snapped after everyone left, saving your life. Because obviously the doctor handles the hanging ropes.

A mafia werewolf and a normal werewolf are on a pirate ship. The pirates are villagers, and they don't lynch people; they make them walk the plank.

Well, I AM going to start another game, but feel free to make your own with a different theme. I like Werewolf.

I think I might do a mafia game where there are ten or so civilians, a mayor, a doctor, a detective,a vigilante, a bodyguard and 4 mobsters. Except with this game everyone including the mafia will know the identity of the doctor, detective and mayor. The vigilante and body guard will stay anonymous to all except the three top rolls. This way there will be more team based playing with the mafia trying to take out the top while other roles try to protect them.

There will definitely be a few balance issues, but these games are bound to be favoring a certain side anyway.

ARRR!

Do it on a ship, matey! Have a captain, a surgeon, a quartermaster (detective?), really violent vigilante pirate, and a... Um... Body guard pirate.

And a cheesemaker. Every night the cheesemaker is alive, X number of wheels of delicious yellow beef appear on deck. Everyone consumes one wheel per day, except the werewolf-mafia and the werewolves. The werewolves eat throats and the werewolf-mafia eats pasta. If the cheesemaker gets lynched/planked/whacked/werewolf'd, then everyone's sort of screwed.
