I was watching a movie, set around winter in New York. I noticed the main character was wearing a big fur hat. My immediate thought was:

"He's wearing a dead beaver on his head"
"Why is that hilarious?"

I then went off on some tangent about where the beavers bones were and if his skull was a totem but I was surprised at my initial reaction. I thought about it and decided I was playing too much Dwarf Fortress. I immediately left and played some more.

Dwarf Fortress changes normal people into evil, twisted dictators. The more you play it, the more and more you begin to favour killing off everybody in the population who isn't useful and turning everyone's pets into food, clothes and ammunition.
