Or maybe the Mafia are playing on this and being extremely vocal to throw us off the trail.

Consider the Following:

The first two to be vocal are now dead, one lynched (Maybe he was innocent) and one killed by the Mafia. There's probably a good chance I'm next, as well. (Unless, while reading this, decide to NOT kill me to put blame on me, in which case I'll probably get lynched next time. It's a confusing cycle, but I doubt I'll last long.)

Now, assuming Ban was innocent, we now have two people killed that were not in the Mafia, and those that were really silent about their votes came in later and then left. It makes you seem inconspicuous, AND you get to kill one of the innocents. Doesn't that make sense?
