The game shouldn't take too long to finish considering at least 3 people will be eliminated every 48 hours. One from the vigilante, one from the day lynchings and a third from the mafia hit. Plus more in special situations such as lynching the saint or killing someone the hider is hiding behind. Thus I suspect that the game will be over by 6 days and another one will have start pretty quickly after that considering how much interest this has gathered. If Cheeetar and Politfar can wait that long then there isn't much point in joining now and disrupting the game in progress.

So, in both cases you lose a doctor, but in first case the second victim is 100% innocent, and in second case the second victim has some chance to be a mobster.
