He he.  My mom's already bought 3 copies of the magazine.

Regarding 3D graphics and better sound, I didn't have a lot of time, but I'm not really capable of doing much better.  As you can see, the wavs and bmps can be altered to look how you want them to look.  I like the happy faces and the cheesy PC speaker part at the end myself.

I love this game... keep up the good work. All of the things that should be added or on the list or have been brought up. I also got this game on a cgw disk. Now all my friends play it. None of us are that good, and even after i got a star helmet thing and a score of 10005, i havent made it 2 the nxt trench. Just to let you guys know, the barbed wire was cut during the night, when parties were sent out to no man's land (middle area) to cut paths for the attack force next day. This could be an interesting addition to night fighting. Keep up the great work,
Andrew

Did you notice if your score got corrupted during the game, or was it just the score list at the end?

Something tells me the above-mentioned problem has something to do with altering some in-game files.  Since it's so easy to do, I'm sure it's easy to screw up as well.  The good news is it's probably just as simple to fix.

Before you go about offering technical support, Toady One, I recommend that you make sure the player you're dealing with isn't playing the game with altered files.  This will most likely save you a bunch of headaches...just a hunch.

SMR, you could be right.  It happened up there in the thread somewhere.  I guess I was in my Liberal Crime Squad bug-fixing mode -- in that game it always seems to be my fault.  Of course, it's also possible that since there are more people playing the game now, an obscure bug has been located...

Hi, just wanted to say an unoffical-hanger-on hello to anyone who's come here via the CGW cover disc.

Toad is currently welcoming WW1 Medic ideas, but not actively working on it, as he's got more projects on the go than is entirely healthy. However, all the art and sounds are completely customisable, and the code is available on the site as well. Various people have done mini-mods, but it might be an idea to collect them all in one convienient place.
If you've done/going to do something interesting (Hans, Joe Sixpack, I'm looking at you two), shout and I'll chuck it all up in some misc. webspace for everyone.

So, what to do while waiting for the next big Bay 12 game? If you can stand text, the Curses Arcade section has several good games, ask on the board if you need help with any of them (*cough*CORIN*cough*). Also LCS is very good fun too, depending on your politics. If you do insist on some form of graphical interface Fuck You.... is another possibility.

Shout on this board if you need anything, also Toad and I are often on #bay12games @ WorldIRC so try there too. (X is just the chanserv bot - so don't expect it to respond, I'm generally called zip)

X

Geocities is a horrible pile of poo, so if something doesn't work for you, shout and I'll try to fix it.
I've ogg'ed Jon's sounds so the package is much smaller, but you'll need the OGG version I posted above for the nex exe (and the orginal sounds in .ogg format too). any questions, just shout.

Any more mods people? It would be nice to build up quite a collection.

Site suggestions welcome too.

I know your not activly working on the game, but how about the ability to choose what side you want to play on? I'm sure it would work as a start to a multiplayer mode (with a horizontal battlefield instead maybe?).

I would just like to play as Germans without actually just overwriting the BMPs.

Well i made a mod for wwI medic a long long time ago called wwII medic, but its a 2.2 mb rar, and i need some where to upload to give it out...there is a problem though, the gun fire etc is very loud, so you have to turn down your speakers. (changes) I changed the soldiers bmp's and, turned the plane bmp into a more wwIIish shadow, and i replaced almost all the sounds.    :D  (btw email is affemilch@hotmail.com)

Multiplayer mode?  You mean a hot-seat kind of thing.  I don't know how to do internet games.

I just don't have time to do work on this game right now.  It would take a little while to make the germans playable.
