It's hard to categorize -- at first you'd call it a real-time strategy game, vaguely like a Dungeon Keeper with rogue-like graphics. The game is in text to facilitate eventual release. You start at a cliff face with, say, 7 dwarves of different professions and give them little commands and tell them what to build and so on, but as your population grows you'll be able to automate things a bit, and you start getting wrapped up in the events of the world around you.
I guess WWI Medic and LCS took off because of Underdogs, and they are there because they are the only half-decent projects I've finished. The Armok forum isn't hopping because I haven't released a version for like a year -- I've really been in a funk with those items and projectiles (not to mention my thesis!), and I think the dwarf game will help get me out of it. The current plan is to finish the dwarf game and follow it shortly after with the Armok Item release (and chase some LCS crash bugs during that process).
As for release dates, I don't know. Certainly Not within a month. I'm going to talk to my brother soon about the last section that hasn't been fully thought out, then the game will at least have its full specs and I'll be able to give reasonable estimates. It already has more code written than what I posted for LCS.
