ive seen some insane/awsome/weird stuff being done on DF, so why dont we make a record thread?

people can post what they have done and screens to prove it. even if its stupid (like "most soap making buildings ever constructed", and then another "most soap making building constucted with a population of 100...and so on") it could be added and people would have a lot more new goals and idea to do.

no mods the game has to be vanilla. different versions however can overwrite each others records

make sure proof is 100% and post what record you are shooting for (just showing the year of the fort is not enough for "longest survived fort", you can start out at any year you want)

ahh i searched the wrong thing....anyway after reading i see its not the same, this is a collection of records submitted by people after they are made and changed when broken; not a preset series of goals to obtain. im figuring it will be much bigger and filled with pointless stuff

I think we should start by suggesting some fun potential record for people to try to break.

A few spring to mind:

- Most Goblins killed by a single individual
- Most Dwarves killed / injured in a single accident
- Greatest collateral damage from a cave-in (currently working towards this one myself)
- Longest bridge (I think http://mkv25.net/dfma/map-2449-mountainbanners wins this one
- Highest kitten population without CPU combustion
- Highest number of cats / kittens owned by a single individual
- Largest prison population
- Largest total dwarf population without CPU combustion (with the pop-cap removed I guess)
- Largest military
- Largest food stockpile (as suggested)
- Longest surviving fortress
- Most valuble artifact
- Least valuble artifact
- Greatest total number of artifacts
- Most destructive tantrum spiral (...boatmurdered?)

That's all i've got for now.

I would like to claim a record for most goblins in a fortress embark site (though someone will probably surpass this).  I just embarked to a 5x5 site and got an FPS of 7.  Goblins are *everywhere*.  I counted 1,191 goblins, with a single human slave and here's the breakdown.

That is a modded game for sure. I suppose the LITTERSIZE of the goblins must be quite high. 
Either way, this looks like a good method to test the CPU of our PCs [FPS test]....
