Ladies and gentlemen, we have built a tower whose only purpose is DEATH!

Already, we have gathered over twenty goblins and a dozen puny humans to be the first sacrifice to our hungry and venerable Liontower, may he bless us all.



Urist McPullthelever, work your magic!



AND THEY ARE OFF!



BOOM!



BAM!



POW!



CRASH!

The tower itself spans the entire plane, which is 50 Z-levels.

The first drawbridge which purges hostiles in small quantities to conceal them from the dorfs is located at level 47.

The actual drop happens at level 46.

Thus, a hostile, if he's dead center, is able to fall 46 Z-levels down in one go.

But the best is when he hits one of the slopes on the way.  You can actually see chunks bouncing up some distance.  It's like a massive gory pinball.

How does your pitting construction look like?
piting them one at a time or have you figured out someway to mass pit?

I think it's like this:
1. Build a drawbridge in the upper part of the tower.
2. Pit everyone 1 or more z-levels on top of the drawbridge.
3. Pull the lever.
4. ...
5. PROFIT!

Unfortunately that scares the dwarves and thus causes the 'pitees' to run free.
Have to have some way to restrict their line of sight.
