Good lord, I just realised that from a evolutionary standpoint, a dwarf might as well burrow itself in the marshy sands for all the good it will do him.

Considering anything in any ecosystem that's bigger than a fluffy wambler (what the heck is a wambler?) is a serious threat to a (average, non adamantited unepic) dwarf, unless properly tamed and subdued, - and even then it's a risky endeavour.

Or it could be that insight at 2:05 in the morning is rarely useful.

When Spore comes out... someone should make a giant cave spider. The horrors need to be spread.

Bonus points if they turn out to be unstoppable killing machines that plow through an entire planet's population and have zero weaknesses. Even more if it's possible to make it shoot webs.

Damn it, this isn't helping me with my wanting of spore.
