China has a fairly modest domestic games industry, but it's very rare to see a Chinese game outside of China. The potential of the Chinese video game industry (and the Chinese market to outside companies) is limited by rampant software piracy in China. Nintendo, for example, refuses to even try to sell games in China.

They're a little less draconian that that -- it is a billion dollar ($US) industry there, after all, and they don't want to kill it outright -- but they do have mandatory "anti-addiction" access controls, where if you're under 18, you can't play more than 3-5 hours a day without having all your experience and money and stuff that you've earned that day taken away. Even games like World of Warcraft have this built into their Chinese versions.
