I've got some steri strips for sale if anyone's interested.
My name's Tahin on there.

EDIT: Oh, uh, does anyone have any tips as to getting back to the outpost? I always die just outside it because it's so constricted.

Well the enemy always follows the direction your going in so try to move them around so you have enough space to run past them, also when you go to the inner city make sure yu decide whether you want exp or items. The reason for this is that when you kill enemies more and more show up which is a pain if your trying to get back, if your going for items then make sure you just walk or run past the enemies without killing them. Hope this helps  :).

Oh, more show up once you start killing them? Didn't know that... Thanks.
That's probably my issue, then.

Also, certain weapons will call more zombies to an area.  Knives are considered "stealth" weapons and will not increase "aggro" any more than just the standard increase gained from killing, but "blunt" weapons (a group that includes axes, for some reason) will add to that.  Loud guns will also call more zombies, and chainsaws are basically a lunch bell.

I know it says that looting is best for singleplayer and grinding is best for multi, but I like looting in multiplayer because it almost always means there's another target for the zombies to go after.

One last question: in multiplayer, when the bots kill zombies, does it increase the "agro?"

A-yup.  And if they use a loud weapon, it increases aggro.  That's the main reason people say you shouldn't loot in multiplayer, because there are lots of bots running around and calling in the zombies.

Early on it seems that the best way to go is,single player for zombie mashin',multiplayer for scroungin'.After you get some real weapons to defend yourself flip that around and go deeper into the city.

I also think that your level has a small effect on aggro too, because once I hit level 5, I was planning to do a suicide run deep into the city for items.  I ran past most of them and still only had the pen knife, but when I got about 10 screens away I ran into two green zombies and suddenly every zombie that spawned on that screen and the ones before it were running full bore at me (which is the aggro'd state) and they were spawning at an insane rate.  It ended with me getting stuck between an open door, a truck, and about 6 regular zombies, and 3 fat ones.

At first I thought it had something to do with the green zombies, so I went the other way, went up a couple of screens, killed a few zombies, again just with the pen knife and again, they start running at me and spawning faster and faster.

Did anyone else notice an increase in the difficulty after reaching level 5?

Nope.  I'm at level seven now, and everything seems pretty manageable to me.  But then again, I've only gone about three or four screens away from home sweet home.  I can't risk anything beyond that until I can actually defend myself.  Even now, getting one fatty in the same room with me (in a building) is scary business.

Yeah, multiplayer is definitely fake.  As long as no zombies are around players mimic your moves.  Also, no one ever talks.

Is there even a chat button?  I was wondering about that recently...

But yeah, they're all bots.  I remember being a little hesitant to believe that at first (look, I know people who spend their time online running into walls), but then I did a little bot-test...  I got a couple people to follow me, and then I stopped.  They all stopped.

Then I got them doing the bot dance, and I was convinced.

Still though, I really do need all the help I can get.  And this way, nobody's looting MY cars and MY buildings, and there's always someone wandering around the outskirts to keep me safe.

Btw ChaosTheory the reason you had an insane amount of zombies after you, was most likly the two greens because they are mini bosses and as soon as you go onto the same screen as one you automatically get max aggro (killing one gets you a decent piece of armour or weapon guaranteed). Im also not so sure if level has any effect on the difficulty, reason being is that the deeper you go into the city the harder the enemies get. ive been about 3/4 to the right of the map and a single punch from the zombies there got me smashed to bits. Another thing by clicking on "Turn on CB Radio" takes you to the chat room.

The game does have multiplayer, but it is buggy right now and most people you will see on screen will be controlled by the AI due to syncing issues.
