The game is made from references to all sorts of popular culture, probably including Dwarf Fortress.
Since when has Dwarf Fortress become popular?
Anyway, I might just give it a try...

Did you just post a bunch of vegi-dicks on my board?  I've been trying to combat forum devolution a bit, and that involves fewer vegi-dicks!

Yes, random is funny, isn't it? Sometimes I set up a random number generator when I need a good laugh.

I would not be suprised if Jic made some reference to DF somewhere.

The latest big update introduced clan dungeons, where a Clan can buy their own dungeon and work together to 'raid' it. Mostly by all agreeing on which type of hobo to go kill.

I just got into www.spacehamsters.com .  Then I realised that these games destroy my life, because my mornings now include "set new research, tweak resource production, explore some more hexes" instead of "shave, learn guitar, play with the housecats".

It's a shining example of the genre--even if it's only in beta3 right now.

The only thing I can think of is one of the "miss" messages from the Lamz0r N00b... But that can be tracked down to a popular web comic.

I am frustrated, and I am reaching out to the gamers out there! I am a Cantr player, hopelessly addicted, and the server seems to be down...does anyone out here in the DF world play Cantr as well? Is there any explanation, has the inevitable end come?

If it doesn't come back...my life will be gone!  >:(

Okay, maybe not, but that would be a really big disappointment...I mean, it's been shaky recently, but the server dying without any warning?...

It's a MMORPG you play through a browser. Or a MMORTS. Or a MMOTBS. Or any MMO - Massively Multiplayer Online game.
