Well, I'll go in on this.  Why not?

If no one's taken "Carrot", I will.  If someone has and I missed it, "Cheery Littlebottom" will do just fine.

Find me the most optimistic, happy, impossible to annoy dwarf.  They shall train by socializing!  Or, if that's not allowed, by doing whatever needs to be done! 

The axe is a weapon of the true dwarf.

A true dwarf needs only his axe. (And therefore will not use a shield. Because losing is fun.  )

All dwarves have been assigned, and, with the exception of the siege operators, are in training.

I'll have those up soon, fixing my cage-traps are currently more important.

Come on, I know you want to see the 1000x Cat Dash, a dash that takes at lowest 1000 tiles to traverse, but bridges, moving mazes, and such complications, cause them to fight towards the exit.^{Look at the 1000x Cat Dash for more}

No lethal drops, and no lethal traps.
Cage Traps are for use at the end, and beginning of the race.
Combatants are to be separated, until the near end of the race.
Bridges, moving walls and such are to be used to prolong the race.
Cats are to be fed to the combatants if they get first place
Junctions are to be used to mix up the raceways, and racers.
If used for an arena pre-game, it should be connected directly to it, and dwarves should be waiting for their opponents, and the opponents should be dropped in by bridge.

I was thinking putting a cage full of cats into the middle of a maze, with a pressure plate over the exit, which seals the maze and starts filling it with water/magma.
