Noble Refuses to Die
« on: November 17, 2008, 02:10:59 am »

My Duke has a penchant for Bismuth items, and for this he must die.  So he has spent the last week or two locked in his room with two goblin wrestlers and a goblin lasher.  They've mangled both his arms and legs to grey and made his lower body bright yellow, but he's still very much alive.  The whole messy scene is spamming my message queue, so I would like to resolve this mess and help the Bismuth-freak into his coffin.

If I kill the goblins, how quickly should I expect the Duke to die from his armlessness and leglessness?

If I kill goblins and he lingers, will his severe incapacity prevent him from ordering the imprisonment and/or beating of random dwarves for failing to make bismuth items?

Kill the goblins, build a spike trap under him, pull the lever until you puncture a vital organ.

Release a bunch of kittens into his room and dump lava onto him. I don't know why I suggested the kittens, I just enjoy being sadistic.

Undermine the chamber and drop the entire room into the depths.

obviously they have to be kittens CARRYING dead vermin. He needs to be miasma'd before he gets fired. That and kittens are both adorable and delicious when roasted over open magma pit for 2 minutes.

Undermine the roof above his chamber and crush him.  This will also deal with the goblins.

Why kill him? sounds like a good condition for a noble.  its the sherriff and hammerer who need de-limbing.  Also if limbs are light grey they were damaged but have healed, dark grey means gone- hacked off.  If he has lost more than one limb he should die within seconds, just a yellow body wound is very survivable.  let him make all the demands he wants once there is no dwarf to hand out punishments.  just pisses off your nobles a bit.  hmmmm,  if you lock a noble up until it goes bezerk then catch it in a cage do you get another one next immigration?

If I were to guess, I'd say this was that bug with dwarves getting stuck while wrestling... He should die once you kill off the goblins. I think... If all else fails, starve him.

To Jester: Light grey is not "damaged then healed." Light grey is "lightly damaged." Brownish is moderatly damaged, yellow is broken, red is mangled, dark grey is cut off. Got it?
