So many questions.

Perhaps the pertinent one in this case is:

Where is the best place to find the answers?

Look within, Micro102.

Look within.

I'm not seriously the only person who decided to take over a village instead of building a place myself, am I?

I've considered it, but only fleetingly. If I happen to want to knock down a building, I would have to laboriously burn each section down. Building it yourself is "easier" in this respect.

Plus, where else can my bull steal everything from shops if the shopkeepers are dead?

You might have to wait a while for a reply--not uncommon for someone to skim emails and then go back and answer them later, when less busy.

To make a wild fire all you need is to create fires on two or more tiles adjacent to the one you want to burn spontaneously. It's not so hard to create a chain reaction by burning, for example, 3 boards or blocks of wood along the corner of a building.

Just pile some wood around the building & set it on fire. Once you have a few adjacent fires, the building will burn too.

well i bought the game, and i have to say its boring....not even may and ive done the entire tutorial, built a house, cut up dozens of logs into firewood, got huge stocks of food in my cellar, have fully warmed clothing, have killed off an entire camp of Nuzukapiliens (or whatever the heck they are called) and am now trying to figure out what to do next...frankly im gonna go and try and kill 1000 more birds to get enough leather for a ski stick

I just keep expanding my house.
One day it'll cover an entire map area.

Tetris has been out for years and I don't see anyone adding a third dimension or dragons.

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.
