I'm also trying to get the full version.  I shelled out $5 but it's not arrived yet :<

EDIT: Got the full version :D  Now trying to decide what I want to do.  I specifically want to take up bow-hunting, so I was thinking Owl tribe for their small forms and thus their sneaking advantage, although they're rather poor with bows and would take a bit of training to get them good with a weapon, their high dodge seems worthwhile.  The Kuikka are also promising, with high agility, small bodies, and allegedly high bow skills.  All of this taken from the wiki.

Think I'm gonna roll an owl for now, because owls are neat.  - I just got a MASSIVE roll on my stats, this character looks overpowered :D  Pretty much perfect in dex, agi, and eye, 56% bow skill~

That's odd, the payment site should eventually direct you to a .zip file link, which is the regpack.

Check your email, they should also send you a link to it, though it'll expire after some time.

The current version is the current one.

I.E 3.14, when 3.15 comes out you need to buy it again.

Major version registration is for the first number, so getting major registration would give you everything that comes out as version 3.xx

I'm not really sure but I think it goes like this.

Lifetime: all versions ever
Major: you can upgrade from 3.14 to 3.15, and so on. You don't get version 3.2.
Minor: you get any unnumbered patches, but you don't get a newer version at all. So 3.14b(eta) will turn into 3.14 (without b). And possibly "patch 1", "patch 2" etc. But you won't get 3.14 or any other.

Now it would be nice to have a version roadmap before buying. I would feel like a real chump if I went with Major registration and it jumped from 3.14 to 3.2. So to me the only ones that make sense are Lifetime (expensive but guaranteed to get more versions) or Minor (really cheap, you know exactly what you're paying for, and you can wait for a "Really Good" (TM) next version before getting another Minor). Major just feels like a lottery.

(I have the lifetime one BTW. I did purchase a Minor version once).

I got major because it's $5.  I mean, the game as it is, I'll get $5 worth of playtime out of it, and that'll keep a newer version or two in there maybe.  Plus it's worth $5.  Not everything needs to be "get the cheapest you can."  Tip your waiter.

Or you know, buy the cheapest version more than once. Without being led to believe that you're buying more than one version and then getting cheated. More than one way to tip the waiter, without letting the waiter rifle thru your pockets.

Regardless, back to actual gameplay.  I've gotten a lot of luck fishing, namely starting "I want to be a fisherman" as a waifish Owl maiden.  It's early spring and I'm already stockpiling roasted pike in my cellar, which I'll probably be eating as I go about the art of trapping.

So, how do you trap?  I mean, I know how you set up traps, but what types are better and what's the better way to arrange them?  There's this bear wandering around nearby (safe distance) that I tried to copy my save and attack, but it turns out bears are badass and I'm glad I copied to experiment.  I've been looking at fences and pits, but not totally sure the best way to arrange them for maximum animal harvesting.  I need me some furs :o

Make a massive line of pits and fences, make the pits into spiked pits. Reel in millions of füd.

I'd suggest running through Surviving in the Wilderness before any other course though, it gives you all the tools you need to survive.

Anyone have any tips for the scenario where you escape as a slave? I can never get out of the camp :p

You can stay, you download the updates from the website, not from ingame.
