Hey Toonyman! The update for this next game year is looking a bit iffy. The monday update may happen later, I'm not saying much much later, but just later than expected.

Argh! Curses! I've failed! No, not on the fort, but the updating thing. :(

I've been too distracted by another one of my forts inspired by yours, it's got.
-Orcs
-About a dozen variants of green skins
-Did I mention I have about several hostile civilizations around me?
-I've got vanilla goblins trading with me

So to make up for it, I'm making a community/succession fort about it, exactly what kind? Well just you wait.

This thing is pretty cool. Especially the berserk killing machine camel. You should have trapped it and used it in a siege. The orcs would have been terrified and slaughtered.
P.S Is the Escaped Lunatic:tag always with guys who just made an account?
P.S.P.S Why is the cat trying to store stuff in the stockpile?

Than you take a crack at this, the less experienced player the better the updates are, just get a profile on photobucket, some good image manipulator, I suggest Gimp of course paint works just as best, than again I could be wrong about your OS.

Play a year, make plenty of interesting images, post, ???-profit

edit-and make sure your computer can handle a 100+ fort of cluster fuck

I think i might take a crack at this, though it'll require ANOTHER DF install.

Aw, I wanted a less experienced player to take a whack at this. Oh well, btw I finished that topic thing I mentioned earlier.

Hey I'll try to take the next game turn if that's O.K., of course that depends on how fast you do your turn (name here).

So far, all is well.

Bets on how long that'll last?

Make sure when the Orcs siege you to tell all the marksdwarves to go to the tower area above the main gates so that they are more protected.  If it's goblins, just tell the dwarves to stay inside and open the front gates.   ;D

EDIT:   Post some pictures and logs too.

1st granite

Having been sent to this mighty fortress, my first act was to have the drawbridge lowered. After getting the door open, I decided to check how many orc prisioners we had and prepare an arena, as well as killing all the ones with ranged weapons except an elite by drowning. Oh, and the mayor wants pig iron items. I wonder if I can kill him and make it look like an accident.

2nd granite

The drowning didn’t go nearly so well as hoped. We seem to have one lost pet, injuries, and lose orcs/goblins.

4th granite

The flushing also went poorly ish, but at least no one is screaming about drowning orcs anymore, and only one mechanic and the count are hurt.

11th granite

Too many animals. Ordered the deaths of many. Not the bears, they get to stay. Also ordered the deaths of the orcs trapped below the arena.

Additionally, I’ve assigned the workshops to produce stuff.

13th granite:

Elves have shown up. Now to take all their stuff.

18th granite:

Elves left. I was a bit too slow off the mark to trap more than one.

Also, today I decided to draft five dwarves to serve as melee warriors to stall the orcs should they make it past the traps and drawbridge. And started a pointlessly large mining project, as well as making more farms.

1st slate

Our ammo stockpiles in the tower seem to have no ammo. On further investigation, it turned out that someone had decided that no ammo of any material type was to be permitted in the stockpile. I corrected that oversight immediately.

3rd slate

I’m honestly not sure why I showed up either.

4th slate

I decided to improve the area protected by fortifications and walls on our roof

5th slate

Dragon!

That was…. Easy.

Looks like he took out the trade depot first, though.

A Dragon!! Cool.  Try to keep the Mayor alive, he's pretty important.

Down with Orcs!! Down with Orcs!!!

EDIT:  I see you are adding to the second floor, keep it up!   ;D

Did you know that trying to transfer a dragon from one cage to another is risky?

I didn't until just now.

EDIT: also, the animal stockpile is entirely too open.

Yeah I had a lot of problems with Toonymans fort design, it looked so organized for the first couple of pages too!
